After picking up Emily from daycare on Monday, Erin noticed that Emily had a bunch of those bites, that she had been having, on her legs. She had about 5 dime-sized welts on each leg below the knee and above the foot. Erin brought her in to the KidMed Center on Tuesday morning. Dr. Degravelle said that is most likely mosquito bites. He says they appear as welts about a day after the actual bite occurs. On Sunday, I was watching Emily and Kennedy play in the rocks at Donna’s house in the back yard, near sunset. I didn’t notice any mosquitos on me or the kids. Doc gave Erin some better cream (Topicort) to put on the bites. He suggested to make sure her finger nails are cut frequently so she can’t scratch the bites, which could cause infection.
